On-page SEO
The optimization of elements within a page, title, headings, content, internal links, images, to make it relevant, clear, and extractable.

On-page SEO is everything you control inside a single page to help it rank and get cited: the title tag, the H1 and heading hierarchy, the body content and its structure, internal links, image alt text, the meta description, and the semantic richness that signals what the page covers. It is the most directly actionable layer of SEO because, unlike authority, it does not depend on anyone else.
The modern on-page checklist is less about keyword placement and more about clarity and structure. A strong page has one clear H1 that states the topic, a logical heading hierarchy that maps the sub-questions, passages that lead with the answer, descriptive internal links that pass context, alt text that describes images for accessibility and image search, and a title and meta that earn the click. Keyword stuffing and exact-match density are obsolete and counterproductive; covering the entities and questions a topic implies is what works.
For AI visibility, on-page work is doubly important because the same structure that helps a human skim, clear headings, tight answers, scannable formatting, is what makes a passage extractable by an answer engine. Good on-page SEO in 2026 is good information architecture: say the thing clearly, structure it so both people and machines can find the answer fast. We score the full on-page surface per page and roll it into the foundational pillar.
